I received clothes, and a stand for my laptop. Oh, duh and a Printer that my cousin bought me. Really though, I enjoy giving more than receiving... I bought my cousin a Laptop, my brother and sister a wireless router (since my mom didn't know what she was looking for and my bro and sis wanted to take their Wii online), for my aunt and uncle I got some puzzles of things fitting for them, and some other trinkets for other family members. :P
Tough times this year but I still got some good presents:
- A modified CueCat so I can catalog my DVD/CD/Book collection.
- Two DVDs I've been wanting.
- A pedicure to feel pampered.
- A self-published photography book from a friend.
- Various fruit and treats.
- Mom made my favorite Christmas foods: Christmas Bread (fruitcake fruit in a much lighter bread) and Stained-Glass Cookies (chopped spiced gum drops in a rich cookie).
- Got to spend time with family and eat lots of Honey Baked Ham.
- Got to watch Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol, a classic from my childhood, now on DVD!
- ... and 2000 coin to advance my mission to feed poor, neglected P3TZ on the forum.Merry Christmas
Happy New Year!
Hee, merry Christmas~ I hope everyone got a pleasant and joyful celebration.
I myself don't celebrate anything (family not Christian, country not really Christian to enjoy, and it's CROWDED) but I bought myself a shoes XD
For Christmas, I got a tripod (I may be filming online stuff later on this year), a small monochrome woodgrain TV, and (best of all) an ATARI 2600. And I also got a rotary phone. So this Christmas, I racked up on antique merchandise.
I did everything wrong! I stayed up late and ate most of the salsa and chips I had left for Santa. (I always leave those because I think he might appreciate something salty after the cookies he gets everywhere else.) So Santa came down the chimney, but he got stuck because it's a gas fireplace! I had to use one of my husband's golf clubs to break the glass because I didn't realize you could just take the glass panel off. Then, I was so excited to see Santa, I was jumping up and down, shrieking and my kids got up to see what was going on. So they saw Santa too and I had to literally push them back to their rooms so he could leave their presents. Then, as I was standing there in my pjs apologizing to Santa for all the trouble, I heard myself saying, "Um... eyes are up here Santa."
It was not a good Christmas at all.
I just left him some coal, I figured "lets see how you like it, eh jolly man!?" My logic was that he'd get the coal, and think "Ow, that hurts my magic, jolly feelings. Is this what I have been doing to people all these years?! No wonder the world is in shambles" So then he's leave me a sweet sweet Huffy bike and some roman candles to shoot off while riding my sweet sweet Huffy bike.
He left me cookies and milk... what a jerk.
