? about college. help please & thank you

So id like to go back to school and better my education. I did pretty poorly in HS (graduated through night school and have about a 1.9 GPA).. but im actually very intelligent and am now ready to take my schooling seriously i know i can do the good if i apply myself. The only thing is that the careers im interested in all seem like they would be impossible to even get an oppurtunity to study. Im very passionate about learning and really want to go to school to study archaeology/anthropology. What do you think my chances are of getting into a school that provides good programs for these courses? Also do you think these are good options for my personality type? (im an INFP)

any advice would be greatly appreciated
    thanks so much!

Welcome to my boat, here's a life vest. Go to a cheap school and get your core credits down and transfer once you prove yourself in college.

Yeah, community college it for 1.5-2 years, get all your GEs done, also gives you more time to experiment with classes to see what you really want, and then transfer to the college you desire...it's a lot cheaper to do that, and some community colleges have guaranteed agreements with 4 year universities which state that if you have above a 2.7gpa from a community college, you automatically get in to the school which you made the transfer agreement with.

My mom didn't do so well in high school...she was homeschooled because of depression and she said when they homeschool you because of a mental illness, they don't expect yout o get anywhere. She didn't do so well before that because her parents never pushed her and she had ADD...she got into a really decent college by writing a bad ass essay...she talked about how she had problems but over came them and how much she had grown and ended up doing really well in college

it depends where you live. Any options are good for any personality type, as long as its what you want in a career, you're good to go. What should concern you is what interests you rather than what fits your personality type, it can turn into a conflict. Go to the nearest community college nearby and transfer to a four year. You will need a masters or a doctorates to get a proper career in Anthropology. Good luck to you!
